A Family Restaurant, Then and Now

Since 1997, Hong Shing has been a family-run Chinese restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto, serving Chinese comfort food to generations of the city. Founded in 1997 by Chef Ron after coming to Toronto from Guangzhou, China. In 2016, Colin Li took over the family business, continuing the restaurant's traditions while expanding how Hong Shing connects with the next generation.

Known for signature dishes like General Tao Chicken, Crispy Beef, and Spicy Shrimps, Hong Shing has grown from a neighbourhood restaurant into a Toronto institution built around food, family, hospitality, and community.
